Push Over

Well, let's hear it for ScrapFest 2009 being full. That's right all 60 spots are now filled . . .

BUT

I'm having panick-y feelings that some people who want to come haven't gotten ON THE BALL and registered.

SOOOO

I'm going to open a few more spots.

Registration will officially be closed as of tomorrow, Monday, October 27, 2008.

Thanks to all of you who have registered. If your name is NOT on the list, you do not have a spot because I do not have your money. Filling out the registration form alone does not guarantee you a spot.

WARNING

APPROXIMATELY
10 SPOTS LEFT!!!

Call your peeps.
Make sure they get in.
Or they'll be out.
And that will be sad.
Cuz they will miss
ALL THE FUN!!!

Your Receipt

Alrighty ladies! Thanks to SO many of you who have registered already. I can't believe how quickly we're filling up :) I just wanted to point out a couple of things:

*AFTER I have had a chance to verify the payment and make sure I have also received the registration, I will add your name to the "Who's Coming" section on this blog. It's on the right side bar if you scroll down. (Keep scrolling down past the registration and payment icons.) I am adding names personally at the end of each day; it's not automatic. So, after your stuff is in, enjoy your day and then check back here at this blog the next morning.

**IF** your name is not on the list yet, it's because I am missing your registrations OR I haven't gotten notice from PayPal yet. I know several of you have had snags with your PayPal, but you should receive a notification from PayPal letting you know that payment has been made. If you haven't gotten that notice, I haven't gotten your payment. And that's why you're not on the list.

***SOME***want to know if you have to scrapbook to come to this get-away. Absolutely not. BUT, this is a scrapbooking-based party. Most of the give-aways (aka FREE STUFF) are for paper crafting projects, mostly scrapbooks. If you want to pay your registration fee and come and sit and do absolutely nothing for 36 hours, then by all means, register and come do nothing with us (who will totally scrapbooking.)

Some Clarification

*IF* your name has yet to appear on our who's coming list, it's because your payment hasn't been cleared *OR* your registration has yet to be filled out. See the sidebar on the right; it's a two step process.

*HOWEVER* if you're trying to fill out more than one registration from one computer, it won't allow you to register the 2nd individual. Leave a comment if you find yourself in that predicament.

And you'll notice after day one we're already a quarter of the way full. This year our goal was to have 60 spots filled. I'm pretty sure we'll meet that mark, so register ASAP to guarantee your spot.

Thanks, it's gonna be a blast :)

The Skinny on ScrapFest 2009

Alright all you scrappin' animals (or those of you who use ScrapFest as a cover for your exciting get-away-from-life adventures) the time has come again to register for the fun in 2009.

THE NEW NEWS:

ScrapFest is going paperless this year. That's right! On the side bar, you'll see sections to register and another one to pay for your services. Click on the link to fill out the registration form and then come back to the blog. Choose an option for your payment BEFORE you click on "BUY NOW." You can highlight "ScrapFest only" for $60.00 OR "ScrapFest AND early bird for $80.00." You can pay through your own Paypal account or with a debit or credit card. Once ScrapFest receives your payment and your registration survey, you'll be added to the "Who's coming" list below. That will serve as your receipt. If, for any reason, you need a refund of your ScrapFest registration, requests must be submitted to in writing before December 1, 2008 (a comment on this blog requesting a refund will suffice.) After December 1, 2008 there will be no refunds.

**AND ANNOUNCING** ScrapFest Part II 2009.
That's right! For those of you who requested ScrapFest more than once a year, it's going to happen (if enough of you want it to happen!) What is your interest? Please leave a comment or email Sarah Barlow if you are ready to commit already. ScrapFest Part II will (tentatively) be held on August 7-9, 2009. Of course EVERYONE is welcome at both ScrapFests, but if you can't make February's ScrapFest, you can plan on making it in August. Registration for ScrapFest II won't start until April, but I wanted you to get your budgets planned and your calendars scheduled for the initiation of a semi-annual event. Again, leave a comment if your already planning on August's good times.

SPOTS FOR SCRAPFEST ARE LIMITED!

Part of the philosophy of ScrapFest is to keep it relaxed for all and to make it worth your valuable time. Because we want to maximize the giveaways and the space we have reserved AND we want to give away more stuff, we will be limiting the numbers this year. The deadline to register is December 1, 2008 and will be on a first-come-first-paid-and-registered basis.
The fun is already being planned and ooooohhhhhh, ladies, it's gonna be a blast. We have already been working with the wonderful Holiday Inn and Pebbles in my Pocket of St. George to guarantee the optimal scrappin' enjoyment for those who attend this coming February 6, 2009 - February 8, 2009. This year, we're offering an Early Bird Special Crop for those who are interested. For an additional $20.00 we're opening for more crop time from noon until 4:00pm on Friday, February 6th. This crop will be full of give-aways, too, so make sure and add it to your agenda. We promise it will be a great addition to your ScrapFest experience!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Friday - noon to 4:00pm - Early Bird Crop

Friday - 5:00pm - ScrapFest 2009 Kick-Off
Crop 'Til You Drop
Activities will go until midnight
(Room stays open and available all night long)

Saturday - 8:00am to 10:00pm - Don't Stop the Crop!
Activities will culminate at 8:00pm (for those who are leaving to drive home Saturday night), but room is available all night long.

REGISTERING TIPS

This event is a get-away to [hopefully] accomplish some good stuff. Because of that, this event is not meant for kids. That being said, we believe the ones who need the most break is sometimes those newer moms, so please only bring babies who will not be distracting to other scrappers who are also getting-away and/or those babies that rely on you for their nourishment.

On the registration form, there is a special spot for you to include special accommodations you may need (it's QUESTION #5). THIS would be the place to explain that you are bringing your computer and/or your own printer and need some outlet access, or that you're bringing a baby. Do you have any food allergies? THIS would be the place to tell us about them. It would also be the spot where you request what friends you want to sit with and/or special table arrangements you would prefer. I work really hard to address all those issues beforehand and it'll be extremely helpful to address these issues BEFORE the start of ScrapFest as opposed to once we're ready to begin the good times.

So, now that you've sent your payment through PayPal and completed your registration, it's time to make your hotel arrangements at the Holiday Inn in St. George. Line up some roomies or make your reservation and then convince some friends to register to split the cost. When making your hotel room reservation, call 1-435-628-4235 OR 1-800-457-9800 and make sure you make reference to the ScrapFest room rate, so you can get the best deal. Room registration should be made by January 1, 2009 to insure you get our super special rate.

FINALLY, keep checking this blog. If there's any kind of update or information we need to share, it will be ON THIS BLOG. Leave comments or questions for me on this blog, too, and it'll be easier to get back to you . . . chances are if I've left something out others will be wanting to know the answer, too.

K. So, go register. And tell your friends. How fun is it to bring in new friends? It's what makes this trip SO MUCH FUN!
