Hey ladies!
Some of you have already registered and even invited your friends to ScrapFest which is VERY exciting for me. I just wanted to remind you that the price for registration is going up on January 1, 2010 from $60 (without the early bird) to $70. Ten bucks can buy you a lot of great supplies at Pebbles in my Pocket (who has agreed to their 25% off discount for all our purchases again, thank you very much Pebbles!) or lunch at Pizza Factory, so make sure you register in the next couple days before the price goes up.
And please invite new people! We're definitely looking for new blood this year and IF the first timer names you as a referral you get extra bonus tickets. Which means you get extra chances to win some really cool stuff!
Finally, several of you signed up for ScrapFest 2010 but I have yet to receive your payment via paypal OR I received a payment without the registration form. Please make sure you sign up AND click on the pay now button to complete your registration. Remember, your name on the roster on the blog (ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THIS HERE BLOG >>>) is your receipt.
Looking SO forward to this new year and to seeing you in just a couple short months in all our scrappin’ glory!!
Have a great New Year’s!

ScrapFest 2010
It's the MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!!!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know Christmas is right around the corner, but JUST as exciting is SCRAPFEST is a mere 81 days away (from when I posted this!) And trust me, by the time Jolly St. Nick has come and my decorations are all packed BACK into the garage, I plan on making a resolution for EVERYONE's benefit. This year's ScrapFest WILL be the biggest, best, most wonderful one yet. You won't want to miss out.
So, here's how you register. On the side bar, you'll see sections to register and another one to pay for your services. Click on the link to fill out the registration form and then come back to the blog. Choose an option for your payment BEFORE you click on "BUY NOW." You can highlight "Early Bird only" for $30.00, "ScrapFest only" for $60.00, OR "ScrapFest AND Early Bird for $90.00." (**PLEASE NOTE: This year ScrapFest registration will be $60.00 from now until December 31st. On January 1st, the price will be $70.00 to register. Early bird will remain $30.00 from now until February 5, 2010.) You can pay through your own Paypal account or with a debit or credit card. Once ScrapFest receives your payment and your registration survey, you'll be added to the "Who's coming" list below. That will serve as your receipt.
If, for any reason, you need a refund of your ScrapFest registration, requests must be submitted to in writing before January 1, 2010 (a comment on this blog requesting a refund will suffice.) I know sometimes things come up and you might not be able to make it, even though you've registered, and you'd like to transfer your registration to someone else. All transfers will be accepted UNTIL February 1, 2010. This allows time for planning/printing changes.
What are you paying for, you might ask? Well, besides the good times and laughs and relaxation (which, let's face it, are pretty priceless) you will be paying for the following:
SPOTS FOR SCRAPFEST ARE STILL LIMITED,
This year, the giveaways will be on a drawing basis and YOU get to choose what you're really interested in winning. I don't want to give away ALL the secrets, but we've got some fun, good stuff for the scrappers AND hobby folks AND the we're-just-using-this-weekend-as-an-excuse-away peeps! Because of that, the first 20 people who completely register will receive bonus tickets. And IF you refer your friends to come (it has to be their first time coming), you will ALSO recieve bonus tickets. (Just make sure they note that on the "Who referred you question on the registration.) So, hurry up. Register. Like, now. I mean . . . come back and read the schedule of events later. We're talking bonus tickets available people!!!
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Tuesday, December 1, 2009 - Registration Begins
Crop 'Til You Drop
Activities will go until midnight
(Room stays open and available all night long)
Saturday, February 20, 2010
Activities will culminate at 8:00pm (for those who are leaving to drive home Saturday night), but conference room is available all night long.
REGISTERING TIPS
This event is a get-away to [hopefully] accomplish some good stuff. Because of that, this event is not meant for kids and families. That being said, we believe the ones who need the most break is sometimes those newer moms, so please only bring babies who will not be distracting to other scrappers who are also getting-away and/or those babies that rely on you for their nourishment.
On the registration form, there is a special spot for you to include special accommodations you may need. THIS would be the place to explain that you are bringing your computer and/or your own printer and need some outlet access, or that you're bringing a baby. Do you have any food allergies? THIS would be the place to tell us about them. It would also be the spot where you request what friends you want to sit with and/or special table arrangements you would prefer. I work really hard to address all those issues beforehand and it'll be extremely helpful to address these issues BEFORE the start of ScrapFest as opposed to once we're ready to begin the good times. ALSO, please fill out the music request question. We've had the most complaints over music and will do a ScrapFest Compilation playlist this year. All other music will need to be through personal earphones only.
So, now that you've sent your payment through PayPal and completed your registration, it's time to make your hotel arrangements at the Holiday Inn in St. George. Line up some roomies or make your reservation and then convince some friends to register to split the cost. When making your hotel room reservation, call 1-435-628-4235 OR 1-800-457-9800 and make sure you make reference to the ScrapFest room rate, so you can get the best deal. Room registration should be made by February 1, 2010 to insure you get our super special rate. Rooms, this year, are $84.99/night. Too, Holiday Inn has a small workout facility, hot tub, and and heated indoor/outdoor pool for your enjoyment.
FINALLY, keep checking this blog. If there's any kind of update or information we need to share, it will be ON THIS BLOG. Leave comments or questions for me on this blog, too, and it'll be easier to get back to you . . . chances are if I've left something out others will be wanting to know the answer, too.
K. So, go register. And tell your friends. How fun is it to bring in new friends? It's what makes this trip SO MUCH FUN!

False Alarm!
SO, if you came to register for ScrapFest you'll find this post instead. BECAUSE somehow November was a little shorter than I planned, or December jumped the gun (I'm not sure which), but SCRAPFEST registration will be up tonight rather than TODAY. Sorry about that for those of you on the ball enough to come and check. I will email all registrants from last year once everything is linked-y-linked. Thanks for the patience . . . my Christmas decorations thank you :)

Could ya? Would ya Wanna?
Nothing says welcome to the holidays like a day of scrapbooking, right?
I'm in the process of organizing a
BARE BONES Scrapfest
on Saturday, November 21, 2009
from 6am until the wee hours of the night/morning.
BARE BONES is a bring-your-own-treat, enjoy-a-welcome-bag, no drawings or contests kind of event. It's a come and work like a fiend to finish those holiday presents, Christmas cards, or any other project party. IF you're interested in coming, please comment below since this event will be held only by popular demand (and by that I mean at least 30 people, but no more than 40.) Bare Bones will also be held at St. George Holiday Inn since that's where I was able to procure the best rate. The estimated cost is $25.00 for the whole day and rooms will be a bargain $69.99/night for our group (split that 4 ways and you can get away for the weekend for less than $50 bucks + your food . . . and shopping, but who needs to count that part at this point?)
All the big stuff will happen at our annual
SCRAPFEST scheduled
for FEBRUARY, 19-21, 2010.
That's right, mark your calendars and keep checking back for registration information.

This year was no exception to the good times we had in St. George. Thanks to everyone who came and TOTAL credit for those who actually got stuff done. If you've thought of any suggestions or ideas for next year, let me know and we'll see if we can work it into the plan.

{Just a Hint}
SOME of you have done this Scrapfest thing before.
SOME of you are new, so let me give you some tips.
SOMETIMES, at Scrapfest, we like to play some games and have contests.
SOMETIMES that means we get to give extra prizes away.
SO, IF, you feel inclined you might want to consider bringing some specific photos with you to scrapbook. I'm not saying specifically what you HAVE to bring, or that you even have to consider it. However since I KNOW we all like extra prizes, maybe you'd want to bring some photos that are older than a couple years old *or* some really new ones (like of the snow and/or Christmas of 2008). Perhaps you're feeling a little nostalgic and are planning some black and white photos? Maybe a sports layout would be fun this year? And, oh, I dunno, maybe some of you want to bring pictures of your ancestors or of yourself. Cuz, really, this weekend should be all about you.
SOMETIMES it's worth it to scramble to grab a couple extra pictures for the weekend.
I'm just sayin'.

Pebbles is Hookin' Us Up!
Every year we have had Scrapfest, we have had huge support from Pebbles in My Pocket there in St. George. A HUGE thanks to Wendy Walker, who is the manager at that thar store , and who EVERY year goes above and beyond for all of us.
This year, in addition to fabulous giveaways Pebbles will be giving
in the store JUST for those of us who registered for Scrapfest. You MUST wear your nametag OR your super-dooper Scrapfest shirts (part of your welcome swag!) to get the discount . . . no exceptions on that part. All the other store shoppers on Friday and Saturday will have to pay full price on EVERYTHING, but not us. Cuz we're special, Scrapfesters.
Saturday will be regular hours from 10am-7pm. Let the fun begin, my peeps.
SOOOO, basically I'm sayin' we're 4 days out and you should hopefully have a list of "needs" and a another one of "wants" and I'm hopin' you make time in your weekend to stock up at Pebbles and cross off all those wants and needs at Pebbles. Cuz they're pretty great for helpin' us out. Make sure you tell Wendy and the girls, "Thanks!"
I'll be posting again with some extra info, so check back :)

Seating and Power
As I was reviewing some of the registration forms, I need to address a couple of things. We are bigger (and better) than EVER before. Consequently, space will be limited. I am working with Holiday Inn to insure that we will average three ScrapFesters to a table. Some want more, some want less, but please be considerate of our space issues. We will do our best to make sure the die-hards can spread out and those who aren't scrapbooking, but still registered to hang out, have enough space to do so. I am confident we will all be comfortable and have a great time, but I wanted you to know what to expect (besides a good time, of course.)
ALSO, those of you who are bringing devices that require electrical outlets, please bring an extension cord and/or power strip. Not everyone who will need electricity can be by the wall (we just can't have that many wall flowers), so if you have one, please bring one.
See you soon (real soon. Like, get yer selves in gear!)

Whoops!
If y'all checked in on this blog for scrapfest info and saw my smack-talking from my personal blog (because I'm doing a weight loss competition) and thought, "What in the world is she talking about???" I am really sorry!
I couldn't figure out why Shawna was referring to my personal blog when she called to talk ScrapFest.
Now you all know I, apparently, cannot keep two blogs straight! Sorry, again.
PS. Don't forget to book your rooms :) 30 more days!!!
